إِنْ شَاءَ اللہ
In sha' Allah
If Allah wills
Said for any future plan — Quranic command (18:23-24)
اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰہ
Alhamdulillah
All praise is due to Allah
In all circumstances — joy, hardship, reply to how are you
مَاشَاءَ اللہ
Ma sha' Allah
What Allah has willed — how wonderful!
Admiration — also protects against evil eye
سُبْحَانَ اللہ
Subhan Allah
Glory be to Allah
Witnessing beauty of creation or great news
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْم
Bismillahi ar-rahmani ar-raheem
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Before every important action — begins every surah
اَللہُ أَكْبَر
Allahu Akbar
Allah is the Greatest
In prayer, adhan, amazement, and joy
أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللہَ
Astaghfirullah
I seek forgiveness from Allah
After sin — Prophet ﷺ said it 70+ times daily
جَزَاكَ اللهُ خَيْرًا
Jazakallahu khayran
May Allah reward you with goodness
Deeper than 'thank you' — a prayer for their reward
إِنَّا لِلّٰہِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُوْن
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un
Truly we belong to Allah and to Him we return
Upon hearing of death or any calamity — Quran 2:156
بَارَكَ اللهُ فِيكَ
Barakallahu feeka (m) / feeki (f)
May Allah bless you
Reply to jazakallahu khayran or standalone blessing
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللہ
La ilaha illallah
There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah
